The Napier Avenue
Clay Studio is a working clay
studio/gallery that presently accommodates four women potters.
The women at Napier
Ave. Clay Studio include Meg
Hogan Campbell, Joan Hatcher, Kathy Layne Murphy, and Jane
Salter.
Each potter has their
own studio space as well as a multitude of shared kilns for various
types of firing. Meg and Kathy prefer to high-fire using the
large gas kiln, Joan likes to experiment with a variety of firing
temperatures including Raku, and Jane prefers a cone 6 firing
in one of the electric kilns.
The large gas kiln,
affectionately referred to as "the beast", was hand-built
by one of the former partners of the group. You can see that
everything is really "hands-on" at the studio.
We are well known for
our seasonal sales. If you would like to be added to our mailing
list, please send your name and address to [email protected]
