The company's primary service was dignitary and VIP protection. In 1984, The Mattman Company was selected by the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee and AT&T; to provide the security for the 1984 Olympic Torch Relay. In 1986, The Mattman Company provided nation-wide security for the event HandsAcrossAmerica. Gaining recognition as experts in mega-events, the company provided risk management and security for Miller Brewing Company's "Biggest Party in History" and a Philip Morris sponsored nation wide tour of the Bill of Rights in 1989 and 1990-1991 respectively.

For the Bill of Rights tour there was a requirement for a mobile command post to be used by 26 former U.S. Marine Embassy Guards employed by our firm. The Mattman Company Specialty Vehicles Division ws formed in 1990 upon completion of the bus. Since that time, this division has built over 100 units for medical and educational institutions, law enforcement and commercial markets.\nnhe Mattman Company has achieved a reputation as a leading manufacturer of mobile units for law enforcement, medical institutions, and Fortune 500 corporations. Mattman units can be found as far as Beijing, Siberia, Egypt and Venezuela. Facility and capabilities
The Mattman Company's Production facility is located in San Marcos, California, which is in north San Diego County. A new 29,000 square foot building houses all aspects of our manufacturing process less paint.. Construction design is computerized with Auto CAD. All wiring is documented using as-built schematics as well as AC and DC numbered wire charts.

Quality assurance
The highest quality standards and attention to detail are what has fueled The Mattman Company's growth curve. The same quality standards that go into our conversions are applied to the shell. No recreational vehicles or non-commercial grade shells are used. In addition, only chassis' and bodies by large, reputable manufacturers with nation-wide representation are used.

To assure consistent quality standards are being met, at the end of each shift, the production manager and design/engineer manager walk through each vehicle under production and do a quality control check. The inspection is documented and items noted that require attention are posted and attended to first thing next shift.
