Dear Dream Zone,
I’m in a skyscraper with my family. Suddenly, there was a bomb. Then on a big screen, the president comes on and tells us that the building is going to fly into some other large structure and people will die and that "It's part of his plan." The building is now flying through space. Everyone is sitting on the ground waiting for the collision. My family is all together and behind me. I make eye contact with my mom and I get a feeling like, "Whatever happens, it will be alright."

Lauri: The building symbolizes you, what you have "built" in your life so far and the bomb indicates a major shift in your life. The president actually personifies the part of you that "presides" over your affairs, that governs your life and makes tough decisions. Your inner mind is telling you that, "you have a plan." Are you planning on moving, just as the building in your dream, basically, moves to another large structure? The people that will die are the relationships and other things in your life that will come to an end once you make that move. Just as your family was behind you in your dream, so are they "behind" your decision. They support you! … and everything is gonna be just fine!
Ashley replies: You totally hit the nail on the head! I was amazed at how such a bizarre dream could make so much sense when interpreted! I am a college student and am actually trying to decide where to transfer after I finish this fall semester.

I'm not a church-goer, but I dreamed God put me under a diamond floor to go to sleep. It was in vivid color and sound!

Dr. Katia: Well, since diamonds are forever, as is the human soul, this dream might be a message about "eternity" and things that won't pass away. Has there been a loss in your life lately, or something sentimental that no longer exists and caused you to feel a sense of loss? The message might be that all things shall pass away but not the Divine. Going under a floor means digging into your inner space, plunging into the depths of the soul, looking for the Divine there, where He/She always resides. The sleep part is telling you to meditate and contemplate spiritual things, in other words, things larger than yourself. The vividness was letting you know this is a powerful potent message with the very Source of Life behind it. Cool dream. And hey, what did God look like? You didn't say!

Dear Dream Zone,
I dreamed that my mother was ill and was dying (in real life she died two years ago) and she had looked through her things and gave me a lot of photos of myself. Then I found three cakes that she had made. I had to decide to whom I was going to give the cakes. I told a woman about the cakes, hoping she could help me, but she told the pastor in her church who announced to the congregation that they should pray for me because I had inherited a dairy factory from my mother and did not know what to do
with it! I got very angry and said that I had got three cakes not a factory and I did not want anyone to know about it!

Lauri: Your mother is not playing herself but rather is standing in for yourself as a mother. For her to die means that you feel your own mothering skills are dying off or perhaps your ability to become a mother is dying off. Have you begun, "the change?" The pictures your mother gives you indicate that you have been doing some self-examination, looking at your life as a whole thus far. How do you feel about yourself as a mother? Did you ever become a mother? If not, how do you feel about that? Your mother gives you three cakes, which most likely symbolizes three children. Do you have three children? Or did your mother have three children? Interesting that the woman in your dream – who symbolizes a part of you – sees the cakes as a dairy factory. The female body is indeed like a dairy producing factory in that we are designed to produce children and milk…. And when we are no longer able to do so, depression and/or guilt might set in, which is where the pastor and the church come in to play. The pastor and church are your moral self that might be feeling guilt over the way you’ve mothered your children or shame for not putting your God-given ability to reproduce to use. A woman’s body is always changing, and that “final change” will bring about lots of introspection, as well as lots of bizarre dreams!
Margareta replies: I am going through menopause (hot, hot, hot!) and I have been thinking a lot about never having children. I would like to have children (when I think I could have been a good mother) but now it is too late. Yes, I have been dealing a lot with that. There were 3 children in my family! Wow. I chose not to have children because I have worked a lot, traveled a lot, spent my money on traveling and going out to restaurants, buying books and not investing in a house and a car and a dog as "normal" people do.
